Finding Meaning Through Volunteering

Some of us retire and slip right into a challenging volunteer role in our community, for others it can be trial by fire.

This week I interviewed some women who volunteer in Vancouver’s West End and a woman who volunteered where she lived.

Interview with Cathy who Lived at Abbeyfield
Bonnie Milne Interviews Cathy

Cathy was a long time resident at Abbeyfield who I interviewed because I wanted to learn more about where she found meaning in her life. Neither she nor I knew, at the time of the interview, that she was very ill and would not live much longer. I miss her warmth and generous spirit.

Here is the link for Abbeyfield - a unique seniors residence in Vancouver where Cathy lived.
